North Sea at Roker, Sunderland

Warning no longer in force

The evening high tide of Thursday 7/12/17 is now receding. In the event the surge experienced was slightly less than forecast. The tide and serge levels for the next few high tides are falling leading to reduced risk of flooding from the North Sea at Roker. However over the weekend wave heights are likely to increase. People should remain vigilant but we do not expect to need to reissue any flood warnings for the North East coast over the weekend.

This information last updated 7:48pm, Thursday 7th December.
