River levels remain high on the Eden and Eden Brook due to heavy rainfall. Flooding is forecast to continue to affect low lying land and roads near the Eden Brook around Lingfield and may start to affect land alongside the Eden. Further showers are expected overnight into Friday 29th March.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages and clearing debris from weed screens in the area. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 8:00 AM on 29th March, or as the situation changes.
