Property flooding is not currently expected.
River levels are high but stable on the River Pang following recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. River levels on the Sulham Brook have now dropped below the flood risk threshold. Flooding of low lying land and roads along the Pang remains possible over the coming days. The forecast today, 26/04/2024 is to remain dry before a change to rain, which could be heavy at times, through the weekend. River levels are expected to remain high and will be sensitive to further rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 27/04/2024, or as the situation changes.
