Property flooding is not currently expected.
River levels are high on the River Pang following recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Flooding of low lying land and roads remains possible over the coming days. The forecast for this week starts settled and dry, with less settled conditions bringing showers, potentially heavy at times, from Sunday 12/05/2024 and into the week. River levels are expected to continue gradually falling, but will remain high over the coming days and will be sensitive to further rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated on Friday 17/05/2024, or before if the situation changes.
